InternLock Terms of Service

Effective date: November 3, 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and InternLock ("InternLock," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the InternLock website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or using the Service in any way, you accept these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Outreach Policy, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

InternLock helps users discover publicly available professional information, organize professional contacts, prepare personalized outreach, and manage their outreach workflow from first contact through follow-up.

InternLock is a productivity and organization tool. We do not guarantee internships, employment, research positions, mentorship, replies, interviews, offers, admissions, or any other outcome. Outcomes depend on factors outside our control.

Information surfaced through the Service comes from publicly available sources and third-party providers and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least the minimum age required to use online services in your jurisdiction, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

If you are a minor, a parent or guardian may need to review and consent to your use of the Service and any purchase, as required by applicable law.

4. Accounts and Security

You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized access that results from your failure to secure your credentials.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Renewal

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Plan features, usage limits, and prices are described on our pricing page and in your account.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor, Stripe, to charge your selected payment method for the recurring fee and any applicable taxes.

We may change prices or plan features with reasonable advance notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal; if you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it applies.

Usage limits (for example, the number of people discovered or outreach messages unlocked per billing period) are tied to your plan and reset at the start of each billing period.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the plan management page linked from your Profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then.

Payments are generally non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods, except where required by law or where we explicitly state otherwise in writing.

7. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you must not:

  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate any person
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Use the Service for fraud or send deceptive or misleading outreach
  • Request, use, or store private or illegally obtained personal information
  • Scrape, harvest, or exploit the Service or its data beyond your authorized plan limits
  • Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or account restrictions
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission
  • Send unlawful content or bulk unsolicited commercial messages (spam)
  • Violate any applicable law or third-party right, including anti-spam and electronic-communications laws such as CAN-SPAM, CASL, and the GDPR e-marketing rules

8. Outreach and Messaging Responsibilities

InternLock may help you draft, queue, and send outreach through connected accounts such as Gmail. You are responsible for reviewing every message before it is sent and for ensuring your outreach is truthful, appropriate, and lawful.

You are solely responsible for complying with anti-spam and electronic-communications laws that apply to you, including honoring opt-out and do-not-contact requests. We may suspend outreach features for accounts that generate repeated abuse complaints.

9. Third-Party Sources and Data

Professional information surfaced through the Service is compiled from publicly available sources and third-party data providers. We do not independently verify every record.

Contact information can change or become outdated. You use contact information at your own risk and must respect any expressed communication preferences of the individuals you contact.

If you are listed in a data source we use and want your information removed, contact us through the contact page and we will process reasonable removal requests.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services, including Google (including Gmail), Stripe, contact-enrichment providers, hosting, communications, and AI services. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services' availability, actions, or content, and their terms may change independently of these Terms.

11. AI-Generated Content

Some Service features generate drafts, summaries, reports, or suggestions using artificial intelligence. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.

You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before you rely on it or send it to anyone. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is error-free or suitable for any particular purpose.

12. Your Content

You retain ownership of the information and content you submit to the Service, including notes, drafts, and profile details ("Your Content").

You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate and provide the Service, including to generate drafts you request.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights.

13. Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and original content, is owned by InternLock or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose while your account is in good standing. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use them without restriction or obligation to compensate you.

14. Availability, Changes, and Suspension

We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create fraud or security risk, generate repeated abuse complaints, or attempt to circumvent plan limits. Where practicable, we will tell you the reason for the suspension.

15. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that information surfaced through the Service will be accurate or complete.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, InternLock and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or opportunities, arising from or relating to your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, InternLock's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case these limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless InternLock from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the Service, your outreach or messages, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

17A. Promotional Discounts

Win-back offers: if a subscription payment fails, we may ask for feedback and may offer a discount (for example, 30% off for three months) applied directly to your subscription. Promotional discounts are optional, limited to one per account, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

Before filing a formal claim, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, such as through the Service or by email. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

20. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the InternLock contact page at internlock.com/contact, where you can reach our support and legal teams.
